PENSION AM RAIN
Winter holiday in the Stubai Valley
A winter holiday in Neustift in the Stubai Valley can be experienced in many ways – fun on the slopes on 140 km of groomed pistes, on a leisurely tobogganing trip with the whole family, cross-country skiing through the impressive winter landscape or on a romantic winter hike through the snow-covered countryside.
Skiing
Stubai Valley offers four skiing areas with different characteristics:
- Stubai Glacier - Austria’s largest glacier skiing area with guaranteed snow from October to June
- Schlick 2000 with rustic huts and family-friendly slopes
- Elferlifte Neustift with extensive tobogganing offer and ideal for paragliding
- Serlesbahnen Mieders with fantastic winter hiking trails and slopes for families and beginners
Due to the central location of our Pension am Rain Guesthouse, you can easily reach all four Stubai skiing areas by ski bus. The bus stop is just a short distance from our guesthouse.
Tobogganing
The Stubai Valley provides a veritable tobogganing arena with ten partially lit toboggan runs with a total length of over 41 km that have been awarded the Tyrolean Seal of Approval for Natural Toboggan Runs.
One of the longest toboggan runs in Tyrol – the 6 km long toboggan run from the Elferspitze mountain to the village centre of Neustift – is only about 1 km from our guesthouse.
Cross-country skiing
The snowsure cross-country ski trail network in the Stubai Valley is perfectly groomed. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, whether classic or skating – the cross-country skiing network offers approx. 40 km of trails in the valley as well as at over 2600 m above sea level for all difficulty levels.
The entrance to the easy -Neustift “Talloipe” (valley trail) is only about 300 m from our Pension am Rain Guesthouse.
Snowshoeing/winter hiking
Feel the winter step by step, forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life and experience nature with all your senses – there is so much to see and discover in the Stubai Valley on more than 80 km of cleared and marked trails or in secluded spots that can only be reached on snowshoes in the winter.
You can set off directly from our Pension am Rain Guesthouse.
